Alice Waters, founder of Chez Panisse Restaurant in Berkeley, California, has championed organic farms for over three decades and is now introducing her ideas into schools with the School Lunch Initiative.

Susan Andrews serves on the Board of Directors of several Northern California private elementary schools, and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Eva Leah Gunther Foundation.

Mark Buell is a developer who served for ten years on the board of the National Council for Urban Economic Development and now serves on the board of the San Francisco Conservation Corps and Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy.

Katrina Heron is a writer and editor who has been Editor-in-Chief of Wired Magazine and a senior editor at The New Yorker, Vanity Fair and The New York Times Magazine. She is also Chair of the Board of Slow Food Nation.

Sherry Hirota is Chief Executive Officer of Asian Health Services (AHS), in Oakland, CA. She was a member of The California Endowment's Board of Directors for ten years, and is an appointed member of the Advisory Committee on Research on Minority Health.

Christina Kim is the owner of the fashion house dosa. Kim is trained in fine art, and her clothing and housewares designs are inspired by traditional craftspeople from around the world. Kim is committed to honoring human work, traditions, and creativity, while maintaining sound ecological practices.

Martin Krasney is an educator, writer and management consultant. He currently sits on the boards of Commonweal, The Compton Foundation and Heyday Books, and on the advisory board of the Urgent Action Fund.

John Lyons is the President of Production at Focus Features. Prior to opening Kalkaska Productions in 1997, John worked as a casting director for the Coen Brothers. He was also the casting director for the Sundance Director’s lab for six years. In the theatre, John was the casting director for Playwrights Horizons and the Manhattan Theatre Club.

Sally Willcox has been a literary agent at Creative Artists Agency for almost two decades. She was a Board member of the Santa Monica Museum of Art for many years. She now serves at President of the Board of 826LA, a local chapter of San Francisco-based 826 Valencia, a non-profit writing program that provides free one-on-one tutoring for students in first through twelfth grades. She also serves on the National Advisory Board of 826 National.
